Liposuction

Liposuction is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery procedures in the world. Your clothes will fit better and you’ll feel better about yourself after a successful liposuction. Diet and exercise alone won’t always succeed in eliminating the more stubborn areas of fat. You will see pleasing body contours once again that you never thought possible.

Liposuction is a safe, simple and common procedure for women and men of all ages, with several areas often treated at the same time alongside other procedures such as a tummy tuck.  The most popular areas are the abdomen, thighs, hips, buttocks and knees.  By ‘vacuuming’ the fat cells it will remove some of the bulk making you slimmer. Not only that, but the area will then have less tendency to accumulate fat again.

Patients with chronic medical conditions such as heart or kidney disease should avoid liposuction. It is important that you tell your surgeon if you have a hernia as this could be punctured during the operation. Depending on the number of areas being treated the procedure can last from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Recovery in Cabo

You will likely need a few days off work depending on the extent of your surgery.  Swelling and bruising may show for a few  weeks following the procedure.  A compression garment worn for a month following treatment will aid in reduction of swelling.  Physical labor or exercise should be avoided for at least 2 weeks following surgery.
